Marinda Johnson Hyde, born on June 28, 1815, in Pomfret, Vermont, joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 1832, and married Orson Hyde on September 4, 1834, in Kirtland, Ohio. After living in Ohio and Missouri, she moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, migrated to Salt Lake City in 1852, and passed away in Salt Lake City on March 24, 1886.
