Eliza Partridge

Eliza Maria Partridge was born in 1821, the oldest child of Edward and Lydia Partridge. In 1830, the Partridge family was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Eliza's father Edward, was later ordained the first bishop of the church. After the sudden passing of her father in 1840, Eliza and her sister Emily moved to live with the Smith family. Both Eliza and her sister Emily were married to the prophet Joseph Smith in 1843. Following Joseph's martyrdom in 1844, she married Amasa Lyman and moved to Utah. Eliza passed away in 1886 as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
